what happens to the waste i cant recycle?
Residual waste is a term normally referred to as the waste that cannot be recycled, either physically or because it is uneconomical to do so.
Simply Waste Solutions is able to ensure that all its clients use this method of collection as a last resort (once all the recyclables have been removed) but we still has a positive outlet for it.
Simply Waste Solutions will collect this material and take it to a processor that will turn it into an RDF (or Refuse Derived Fuel). This material, instead of going direct to landfill, would be converted into a fuel and because of its calorific value, can be used as an alternative to fossil fuels, particularly coal.
Simply Waste Solutions helps its clients focus on what is best for them by making sure as much as possible is recycled. The Waste Hierarchy (see below) is close to the heart of Simply Waste Solutions and forms the foundation of our strategy for investment for the next 10 years.
